Tree of Life by Charley Harper

Recently, I was browsing one of my most favourite shops in the place where I live when I came across the work of Charley Harper. I did a little research and found that he died only recently and was a wonderful modern artist! He is best known for his wildlife illustrations; indeed, these are what attracted me in the form of Charley Harper Flash Cards & Floor Puzzles, his ABC's and also Birds & Words. I want them all! I am in love! My research was conducted with the help of Google and Wikipedia so I would suggest the latter for information and a link to amazing studio of the Harper family which contains lots of things to buy and wonder over! I hope that you find this as magical and lovely as I do.

I believe these to be some of the most poignant words I have ever read. It really can be the simplest of ideas and basic truths that suprise me and take my breath away. It's a funny thing, isn't it?

I wish the world looked like this sometimes.

There is a lovely band & they are called Anathallo. They have a very beautiful album called Canopy Glow with some especially pretty songs on. I think my favourite is Lost Ring Finger but also The River.

I spent a lot of time under duvets with my head on pillows this saturday and sunday, gently resting. I like the milky-ness of arms when the morning is bright.

In this past week I have visited a magical secondhand bookshop that my little sister told me all about. It was packed to the rafters with books; old penguin gems and children’s classics, history, philosophy and beautiful natural history prints, to name but a few. Stacks and stacks piled up and down the stairs and spilled out all over the rooms. I picked up a leaflet entitled ‘Second-hand Bookshops of North Warwickshire’ which encourages a daytrip around all of those heavenly places. I cannot wait to embark on such a trip as this!

(When I looked out of the window of my family home there were tree branches reaching for the blue sky and I could hear the birds chirping away all the long day. I walked and saw bright beautiful flowers, little ducks, geese and I think felt the first inklings of spring sunshine upon my face. )

I found this lovely picture of Avey Tare and Kria Brekkan today. I think it is beautiful, but I do not know who took the photograph. What pretty colours and pretty people. I think this photograph is very heartwarming.
